Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Previous financial accounting experience.
- Certified Public Accountant Certificate preferred.
*Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Accounts for the revenues and expenditures of the School Board by properly recording and classifying financial transactions.
- Maintains the general ledger on a fund account basis.
- Maintains the daily cash position of the School Board.
- Serves as department contact for school bookkeepers.
- Coordinates financial reporting as appropriate.
- Provides assistance, guidance, and training to others as needed.
- Assists in the preparation of the budget as needed.
- Assists in developing finance processes and procedures.
- Monitors and reports on state and federal projects.
- Reconciles monthly bank statements.
- Prepares the annual Indirect Cost Report.
- Prepares the Annual Financial Report.
- Provides financial information to external auditors.
- Performs other job-related functions as assigned.
