Performance Responsibilities

 

  1. Processes student discipline referrals submitted by other staff members through the application of the Student Code of Conduct and Due Process Rights.
  2. Maintains awareness and supervision of the campus to proactively identify areas of concern or possible student danger.
  3. Assists administration to protect the health, safety, and welfare of students.
  4. Assists administration in resolving all discipline problems in a fair and just manner, and maintains records of any disciplinary action taken.
  5. Participates in the Suspension Expulsion Review Process (SERT) as outlined in the Code of Student Conduct.
  6. Assists in developing and administering practices dealing with campus control and security.
  7. Assists with campus supervision including extra-curricular activities.
  8. Confers with parents, teachers, counselors, support service personnel, and students on matters of discipline and welfare.
  9. Confers with and makes appropriate referrals to social workers and other personnel.
  10. Assists administration with student attendance concerns.
  11. Works with community and government agencies on problems relating to truancy from school.
  12. Assists administration in counseling individual students.
  13. Participates in the coordination, security, and supervision of campus events, during and beyond the normal school day.
  14. Assists in general supervision of students’ activities, athletic events, and similar activities.
  15. Assists the Coordinator of District Security in identifying students who have been formally charged with a violent felony.
  16. Attends all applicable professional development trainings and obtains any necessary certifications required by the district or state.
  17. Performs other job-related functions as may be assigned.
